About Dr Saman Nikeghbalian
Dr. Saman Nikeghbalian is the first liver and pancreas surgeon in Iran who did a simultaneous operation of liver and kidney transplant. He is an Assistant Professor of Shiraz University of Sciences.
Education
- He studied at Shiraz University of Sciences and became a general physician.
- After being a resident, he became a general surgeon at Shiraz University of Medicine.
- Nikeghbalian got his fellowship in transplantation from King’s college in London.

- For more than 10 years, he was the deputy head of research in Shiraz Transplant Center.
- He became the director of Shiraz Transplant Center in 2017.
- Nikeghbalian did the first domino liver transplant in Iran at Shiraz Transplant Center.
